Once you purchase a vehicle a temporary registration number is assigned to you and if you want to get do it yourself you have to fill Form20 application under Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. The form should be marked as Temporary and need to be submitted with the RTO directly. There is a fee that needs to be paid for temporary registration which is Rs 15/-. Tax is also levied according to the APMVT act.
Documents Required For Temporary RC in Telangana
- Form 21 which is sale certificate (Xerox copy)
- Insurance Policy Certificate (Xerox copy).
- Copy of fitness certificate in Form 22 issued by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Pollution Under Control Certificate.
- Copy of Design Approval of STA in case of trailer or semi trailer.
- Copy of the original Sales Certificate in Form 21 from the concerned authorities in case of army vehicle.
- Custom clearance certificate in case of imported vehicle.
- Address proof such as Aadhar, electricity bill, ration card, etc.
